Keisha Buchanan Leaves Sugababes

Keisha Buchanan, The last original member of all-girl-group the Sugababes has left the band.

Keisha, 24, will now launch a solo career, a statement from the group confirmed.

Buchanan will be replaced by the UK's Eurovision Song Contest singer Jade Ewen.

A statement on the band's website read: "The current line-up of the Sugababes has disbanded.

"Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah will continue as the Sugababes and will be joined by new member Jade Ewen.

"They release their album Sweet 7 on November 23 through Island Records.

"Keisha Buchanan will continue to record for Island Records as a solo artist."

The group have recently been subject of media speculation after Amelle Berrabah reportedly went missing two weeks ago.

Buchanan defended herself against reports she was the troublemaker of the band.

A report in The Sun claimed bandmate Berrabah was missing following a disagreement with Buchanan after she failed to perform with her and Heidi Range at London's Movida.

But Buchanan, 24, tweeted: "I may come across as a hard nut sometimes, but I'm actually really sensitive and it destroys me to think people see me as the longest standing member and assume that I'm the b***h who causes people to walk, and it's totally untrue and unfair."

The group was formed in 1998 by original members Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy.

Range replaced Donaghy in 2001 and in 2005 Buena was replaced by Berrabah.

Jade Ewen represented the UK at the 54th Eurovision Song Contest, performing My Time which is written by the legendary composer Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and another entertainment business legend Diane Warren. She finished fifth, bringing the UK its best placing since 2002.

The lucky girl to get a place in the band, that's been called the most successful British female act of the 21st century, gets the news just she releases her new single My Man on Monday, taking her career into another turn and now she'll be performing under Sugarbabes together with Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah .
